This can sometimes be ascertained over the telephone or you can e mail me a photograph.
If the security of your property is compromised I will make it secure as soon as possible, FREE OF CHARGE, regardless if the door can be repaired or needs replacing.
You will need to:
- almost certainly can claim on your house insurance.
- check your policy to ensure you are covered.
- Find out what the excess is (if any).
It is unlikely to affect your premium, but if you are concerned, ask your insurers.

After I have visited, call your insurance company and explain what has happened.
You can inform them of my findings, and the costs.
Your insurance company may:
- tell you to go ahead over the telephone.
- send a claim form to be filled in and returned with a written quote provided by my company. This can be faxed direct to your insurers if you wish.
Insurance companies vary, but normally you could expect the go ahead in ten to fourteen days.
If the door has to be replaced, delivery depends on the type and size you require. Lead times vary, but typically would be between two to four weeks.
